The unprecedented growth of the Church among Berber-speaking Kabyles in Algeria has made it imperative to provide them with solid biblical teaching in their mother tongue. At the same time, it is vital to seize hold of significant opportunities to envision and train Berbers to reach out to their countrymen.

AWM Media has already worked for many years in partnership with national Berber ministries and churches to help nurture believers and to equip them to reach out to other Kabyles by training them in media ministry skills and giving them opportunity to use those skills in their own ministries of evangelism, discipleship and church planting.

AWM Media seeks to continue to help along these lines with pre-existing ministries and by supplementing new initiatives to help us better meet these needs.

One of these new initiatives is Tasmuni which is ‘Maarifa’ in Kabyle. This will feature our Kabyle radio and TV programmes, as well as Kabyle PALM courses. We will encourage local believers to contribute material and work closely together in connecting contacts with those in the country for follow-up.

Once contacts link up with local believers we hope they will continue to benefit from the virtual online community as they share their stories with others.
